here we are.
it is hard to believe we just paid our third rent payment already!
here i sit...
writing a LONG OVERDUE post to transition us to our new blog!
This has been an incredible season of transition, hope, and healing. We truly did not know what to expect. It was hard to believe we'd be working already with "the way the Michigan economy is these days." We signed our apartment lease before jobs were in place because we knew it was a leap of faith we needed to take. Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined that we would be moving in Aug. 7 and Bethany employed August 23 with Kyle starting work one week later. For us there is no other answer than God's abundant goodness.
I can say we are adapting to life with the earnest desire to preserve precious lessons and lifestyle changes that developed from life in Zambia. So far we have success in the midst of transitioning to 40hr work weeks and Meijer shopping adventures.
Our new location on wealthy st. in Grand Rapids, MI is a gift. We live in a basement apartment with a "garden view." Our dear friends moved in across the street a in the beginning of September. And we have several friends within a three mile radius.
Our new environment and proximity to wonderful friends has enabled us to move into a season of healing after two wonderfully challenging years in Zambia. In an effort to save more reflections for later I will wrap this up by saying, thank you to our many friends who faithfully followed us through the last two years. I hope this blog enables us to stay connected and continue sharing life together on this side of the world.
